editing travel videos filmed by community members with social purposes
Footstep Travellers is a social enterprise that aims for creating videos by its community so as to build language, travel and culture resources around those on YouTube. With the profit, it will provide with meaningful support to several organisations around the globe.
Footstep Productions is behind this project, and I took part in it by making some videos, either from community members’ footage they shot during their trips, or by myself.
I edited several projects such as:
A full-length journey across the Sahara desert and Marrakech
Short videos of fun facts about cities in the Netherlands
A series of videos of a road trip from the UK to Portugal
Graphic support for a boat trip through Greek islands
In addition, I also filmed, edited and made the graphics for a 9-video guide about tips and advice for the community members who are new to shooting videos themselves. It was hosted by Len Brown, a former producer in the BBC.
Footstep Travellers is not released yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing it up and running!
