Right angles don´t exist

—We develop our lives encased between walls of brick and plasterboard. Four walls, only four walls, which are nothing more than another mental construction, this time materialized. But there are no walls: space flows. Do you flow with it?

This short film, which I consider my first work, is an animated documentary in the form of an essay in which I reflect on the relationship between architecture and human beings through constant references to the Modern Movement (its past, its development, its destruction and its legacy).

As a Final Degree Project, I wanted to combine all my formal, stylistic, technical and thematic knowledge and create a work that would serve as a letter of introduction and a statement.

Gorka Castrillo is in charge of giving voice to the words that go hand in hand with the images and the musical notes.

Right Angles Don´t Exist has been screened in numerous theaters in the Basque Country, Spain and several countries in Europe and America, winning several awards after achieving the New Talents of ZINEBI in 2015.
